Since 2005 I have been cultivating mindfulness in my personal life. I have offered
training sessions on benefits of mindfulness to a range of health professionals:
psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychotherapists, nurses, occupational
therapists, social workers, GPs and health support workers. I have also set up and
facilitated delivery of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programs for the
NHS staff. However my expertise and special interest is in the integration of mindfulness
principles and practice with individual clients from a variety of clinical populations:
adult mental health, chronic pain, oncology & palliative care.
I am very interested in the use of mindfulness as a method of personal and professional
development and this interest lead me to complete a doctoral research into clinicians’
development as mindfulness practitioners. I regularly offer continuing professional
development workshops in this area.

I run Yorkshire Mindfulness Special Interest Group, which is a support and experience
sharing forum for clinicians using mindfulness in their private and professional
lives. Let me know if you would like to become a part of this forum.
