Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective approach for the treatment of a range of emotional and psychological problems. It is focused problem-solving therapy developed in the 1970s by Aaron T. Beck, M.D. He developed a direct and potent approach, which has become widely known as cognitive therapy or cognitive-behavioural therapy.
CBT is effective with a range of problems such as, alcohol & substance misuse, anger issues, anxiety/panic/stress and phobias, depression, trauma, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and many others.
